The Savanna are Miguel Vilhena, James Vilhena Pedro Castilho and Diogo Sousa. Have a history of exotic adventures and progressive hedonism.
"Dreams To Be Awake" is born in the labyrinths of a Lisbon surreal. Joining the 60's and 70 nowadays, is an exercise in dirty acoustic, analog-spiritual, full of melodies and psychedelic weirdness eared.
This long-term, both contemplative and frantic, is a melting pot that combines textural travel with pop reverie. The result is an exquisite soup as sweet as acid, that makes you want to repeat.
The disc name is also the title of one of his subjects, chosen by summarizing the most theme. References to dreams or the imaginary context, ambition or even sleep, are recurrent.
Requests for concerts began to emerge after the release of first single "Fancy Pants", which assured them "full house" in various concert halls around the country.
The album was recorded and produced by Miguel Vilhena in the Pontiaq studio, was mixed by Miguel Vilhena and Moullinex and mastered by Jerome Shmitt in Airlab studios (Alt J, Space, Ninja Tune).
